Don’t feel guilty of what I’m about to explain…
Makeup wipes are super convenient and they can be used to wipe away small makeup mistakes but, to use them for your entire face to remove all of you makeup, everyday, well isn’t the best thing to do.
Here’s why…
Using makeup wipes to remove your makeup requires a lot of pulling and tugging on your face. Over time, it can wear and tear the collagen and elasticity fibers on your skin. This can eventually lead to premature wrinkles and aging of the skin. For many skin types as well, makeup wipes can be irritating, burning, and make your skin inflamed.
PSA If you do choose to use makeup wipes, they are not to be used as a face wash or to cleanse your face. You’d be surprised at how many people believe once they have taken their makeup off with their wipes they are done. Now maybe if you’ve had a long night out this exception applies 😆, but other than that ONE exception this is a BIG no! No matter what you choose to remove your makeup with, you will always have to go in after and cleanse your face with face wash. Using a makeup remover alone does not get rid of the dirt and makeup that are in your pores or beneath the surface layer of skin.
